NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Town Meeting of the Electors of the Town of Trego, Washburn County, Wisconsin, will be held on 9/9/2025 at 6:30pm at W5690 River St, Trego, WI 54888 for the purpose of considering and voting on a resolution to authorize the Town Board to exercise village powers pursuant to secs. 60.10(2)(c) and 60.22(3) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

Proposed Resolution

The proposed resolution states that the town electors assembled at the meeting authorize the Town Board to exercise village powers under the specified Wisconsin Statutes.

Purpose of Exercising Village Powers

Exercising village powers would allow the Town Board to act for the public health, safety, and welfare of the town using powers available to villages under Chapter 61 of the Wisconsin Statutes, as long as they don’t conflict with statutes specific to towns.
